About United Edo State Club Madrid

United Edo State Club Madrid (also known as Club Estado Unido de Edo) is a registered non-profit association established in 2010 in Madrid, Spain, by a group of friends from Edo State, Nigeria. What began as a small circle of friends has grown into a vibrant community dedicated to promoting unity, compassion, and mutual support among Nigerians and other immigrant communities living in Spain.

Founded with the vision of unifying the people of Edo and Nigerians in Madrid, the association has continued to uphold the values of togetherness, service, and cultural pride. Our headquarters is located in Fuenlabrada, Madrid, where we coordinate a variety of community-based programs aimed at improving the lives of individuals and families in need.

OUR WORK

United Edo State Club Madrid is committed to helping immigrants overcome the challenges of settling into a new environment. The association provides practical assistance in several key areas, including:

Access to housing and healthcare

Immigration counseling and documentation guidance

Social integration and community support programs

Distribution of food and clothing to individuals and families in need

Through these initiatives, we aim to ensure that everyone—regardless of nationality or background—feels supported, valued, and empowered to build a better life.

PARTNERSHIPS AND COLLABORATION

Our impact is made possible through strong partnerships with several reputable organizations and government bodies, including the Community of Madrid, Banco de Alimentos (Food Bank), FEAD (European Fund for Aid to the Most Deprived), the Spanish Red Cross, the Fuenlabrada City Council, and the Fuenlabrada Social Services.

Together with these partners, we organize monthly food distributions from January to December, reaching countless families who rely on these efforts to meet their basic needs.

Since our official registration in 2015 with the Municipality of Fuenlabrada, we have participated in numerous community activities and social programs, always striving to strengthen relationships between immigrants and the local Spanish community.

WHAT WE DO

Community empowerment

We offer workshops, mentoring programs, and community dialogues that empower people, promote inclusive leadership, and generate a sense of belonging among both migrants and residents.

Educational Counseling

Our educational initiatives provide tutoring, language classes, scholarship guidance, and digital skills training to help children and adults reach their full potential.

Cultural integration.

We organize festivals, exhibitions, and intercultural exchanges to celebrate diversity, foster mutual understanding, and share our community's rich traditions with the general public.

Health and well-being.

Our programs encompass health awareness campaigns, mental health support groups, and collaborations with healthcare providers to ensure the physical and emotional well-being of our members.

Youth development

We organize sports leagues, creative arts workshops and leadership training for young people, providing them with confidence and vital skills for a brighter future.

Social support and protection

From legal clinics and housing advice to food assistance and employment support, we provide practical support and promote policies that safeguard the rights and dignity of all.

SDGs IMPACTS

We create meaningful transformations in people’s lives by providing direct support and opportunities that foster equality, well-being, and sustainable progress in our communities. Our work spans multiple areas and makes a significant contribution to the SDGs.
